3 Days of Thanks In Progreso, Lomas de Enmedio & El Satrillo

Happy Thanksgiving to all our friends!
Cheryl’s Shoebox has been quite busy the last 2 weeks and we would like to give thanks to our our friends and supporters who allow us to do what we do.
Over a 3 day period last week we were able to provide 240 children with gifts of socks, underwear and undershirts as well as notebooks and pencils. Pastor Mario Stantillan and Ron Almsted of the Perota colonia who we have worked with now for several years organized 3 days of giving throughout the colonias of Progreso, Lomas de Enmedio & El Satrillo. Singing and dancing along with a taco feast for everyone followed the distribution of the care packages. It was wonderful to see the reaction of the kids with something as simple as underwear and socks.
